Mid Devops Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our Infrastructure Platform team. Embracing a DevOps culture, we believe in empowering engineering teams through automation and autonomy. The ideal candidate will bring a strong automation mindset and contribute to the implementation of DevOps practices to accelerate our engineering team’s performance.

As a Cloud Engineer you will face diverse engineering and infrastructure challenges. Your role involves solving common cloud problems across development teams, ensuring standardization, and implementing best practices. You will collaborate closely with the Internal Data and Platform team, in a hands-on role that involves creating new features and improving current solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree(BSc/BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, providing a strong academic foundation for the role
• You have a passion for automation, demonstrated by a track record of implementing and optimizing automated processes.
• You have an in-depth knowledge of Software Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and proven experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• You have hands-on experience and proficiency with AWS Cloud provider services, demonstrating the ability to architect, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience using AWS.
• Very comfortable and proficient with Docker technology, showcasing the ability to containerize applications for efficient deployments.
• Proven experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies, using tools such as Cloudformation and CDK,to manage and provision infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting, with demonstrated ability to create scripts for automation and system administration tasks
• Hands-on experience in monitoring and troubleshooting production environments, ensuring system reliability and performance optimisation.
  

Extra points if you have:

• Hands-on experience with specific AWS services, including ECS, RDS, EKS, S3, and EC2
• Knowledge and experience with Kubernetes, demonstrating the ability to deploy manage and scale cloud native applications
• Possession of AWS Certifications, particularly in Solutions Architect and DevOps principles, demonstrating a high level of expertise and proficiency in AWS technologies
• Hands-on experience with other cloud providers such Google Cloud Platform, showcasing versatility in cloud environments.
• Familiarity and proficiency in Linux administration, demonstrating the ability to manage and maintain linux-based environments.
