Global Payroll & EOR | Remote (Philippines) | Full-time

About the company
Our client is a fast-growing global HR and payroll platform that helps businesses hire and manage employees compliantly across 180+ regions. Their integrated suite covers Employer of Record services, global payroll, contractor management, benefits, and compliance - powering a borderless economy for companies of every size.

The APAC payroll team is small and hands-on, and this role is central to how the company delivers accurate, timely payroll across key markets in the region.

Role Mission
Support smooth, compliant payroll delivery across an assigned portfolio of APAC territories - including Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. Working closely with third-party payroll providers and internal teams, you'll ensure payroll runs accurately and on time each month while continuously looking for ways to improve processes and scale operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end payroll operations across an assigned portfolio of APAC territories.

  • Maintain payroll calendars, data cut-offs, checklists and action trackers.

  • Collect and review payroll inputs for completeness, consistency and documented requirements.

  • Coordinate with local payroll providers and in-country experts to track actions through to completion.

  • Support payroll validations, reconciliations and output checks.

  • Investigate routine payroll issues and escalate complex cases with clear context and evidence.

  • Support payroll-related employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, salary changes, bonuses, leave impacts, final pay and offboarding.

  • Maintain SOPs, country checklists, process maps, control documentation and knowledge-base materials.

  • Track payroll deadlines, risks, open actions, service levels and recurring issues.

  • Support process improvement and automation initiatives.

  • Assist with onboarding new territories and transitioning payroll knowledge into managed processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, payroll processing or payroll validation.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle detailed data accurately.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes while identifying gaps or inconsistencies.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, prioritise effectively and raise risks early.

  • Strong spreadsheet and data-handling skills, including validation, reconciliations and detailed datasets.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication across internal teams and external partners.

  • Sound judgement when handling confidential employee, payroll and financial information.

  • Based in the Philippines and able to work primarily within Philippine and APAC business hours.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in payroll, Employer of Record, shared services or multi-country operations.

We're looking for someone who:

  • takes ownership of payroll processes end to end;

  • works independently and proactively;

  • is comfortable managing multiple deadlines and escalating risks early;

  • enjoys building and improving processes rather than just running them;

  • brings energy and a hands-on mindset to a fast-moving international team.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote role, based in the Philippines.

  • Opportunity to shape payroll operations in a fast-growing international company.

  • Health insurance contribution.

  • Share incentive plan.

  • Generous PTO plus 4 weeks of "work from anywhere" per year.

  • Continuous learning support (courses, mentorship).

  • International, ambitious team environment.

If you're passionate about payroll operations and building reliable processes in a fast-moving global business, we'd love to hear from you.
