Job Description

We are looking for a SQL Server DBA to join our team and take responsibility for the administration, performance, availability, and ongoing support of SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, maintain, monitor, and upgrade SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments.

• Ensure databases are available, reliable, secure, and performant, in line with agreed operational and service levels.

• Perform SQL Server troubleshooting, investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

• Monitor database performance and proactively identify areas for optimization and improvement.

• Support database-related requests and collaborate with developers and technical teams to resolve application and database issues.

• Contribute to database and repository design, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.

• Work closely with internal teams and third-party providers, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of technical issues.

• Take ownership of assigned activities, follow established processes, and ensure tasks are delivered within agreed timelines.

 

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience as a SQL Server DBA or in a similar database administration role.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration, configuration, and maintenance.

• Solid experience with SQL Server-based troubleshooting, performance analysis, and issue resolution.

• Good knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.

• Understanding of database availability, reliability, monitoring, and performance optimization.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues independently.

• Good communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with developers, infrastructure teams, and third-party providers.

• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is considered an advantage.

• Experience with database design, repositories, and enterprise production environments is a plus.
