Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java and modern backend development practices.
- Design and implement REST services using Jersey and Spring.
- Develop data-access solutions using Spring Data JPA.
- Work with relational and cloud-based databases, including PostgreSQL and Aurora.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead to drive development initiatives and deliver project objectives.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as ECS, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Build and maintain automated tests using JUnit and Cucumber.
- Contribute to application troubleshooting, quality improvements, and reliable software delivery.
- Support Lambda development using Python where applicable.
- Quickly become familiar with existing systems, technical requirements, and development processes.
Requirements:
- Senior-level experience in full-stack Java development.
- Strong experience developing REST services with Jersey and Spring.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Data JPA.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL and Aurora databases.
- Knowledge of AWS services, particularly ECS, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber.
- Ability to work effectively with a Technical Lead and contribute to technical direction and development delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to become productive quickly in an established technical environment.
- Experience with Python and AWS Lambda development is a plus.
- Previous experience working with Vanguard is preferred.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States as a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
