This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Owner based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to lead product delivery within a dynamic environment supporting a financial-services client.
You will own and prioritize a squad backlog, ensuring development teams have clear, actionable work aligned with business priorities.
The position combines product planning, stakeholder management, risk management, and agile delivery.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and align on new initiatives.
A strong understanding of software engineering and development processes will help you translate business needs into effective product outcomes.
The role requires analytical thinking, resilience, strong communication, and confidence operating in a fast-moving environment.
The position is remote in Brazil, with availability required to work from São Paulo/Osasco once per week.

Accountabilities

  • Own and manage the squad backlog, ensuring features and user stories are prioritized, clearly defined, and available to the development team at the appropriate time.

  • Define, document, and communicate business requirements, translating stakeholder needs into actionable product features and stories.

  • Manage product scope and roadmap, balancing business priorities, delivery capacity, dependencies, and evolving requirements.

  • Lead sprint planning and backlog refinement activities, ensuring the team maintains a clear and actionable delivery plan.

  • Identify, assess, and manage product and delivery risks, taking appropriate action to mitigate potential impacts.

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers and stakeholders to understand new demands, align expectations, and manage dependencies.

  • Work closely with engineering and development teams to support effective delivery and resolve requirement-related questions.

  • Contribute to agile ceremonies and ways of working across frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or XP.

  • Monitor priorities and delivery progress while maintaining alignment between product objectives and business needs.

  • Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable product or management role.

    • Experience managing product scope, roadmaps, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.

    • Demonstrated experience writing business features, requirements, and user stories.

    • Previous management or leadership experience.

    • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and/or XP.

    • Strong familiarity with task and product management tools.

    • Experience working with software engineering and development processes.

    • Experience with risk management and the ability to anticipate and address delivery challenges.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Resilience and adaptability when managing changing priorities and complex stakeholder needs.

    • Availability to work from São Paulo/Osasco once per week.
