🛠️ Requirements

  • Approximately 7–10 years of law firm experience, ideally with a practice focused on renewable energy or project development.

  • Strong deal management, organizational, drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent legal research capabilities and a demonstrated ability to produce clear, precise legal documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and professionals.
  • Comfortable working effectively in a fully remote and distributed environment.
  • Admission to, and good standing with, the Bar of the applicant's state of residence.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Renewable Energy Senior Project Development Attorney based in United States.

This role offers an experienced attorney the opportunity to work on sophisticated renewable energy project development matters in a fully remote environment. You will advise clients across the development and contracting lifecycle for projects that support the transition to cleaner energy. The position combines substantial transactional responsibility with direct client collaboration, negotiation, legal drafting, and strategic deal management. You will work on a range of renewable energy agreements, including EPC, O&M, and power purchase agreements. The role also provides opportunities to collaborate with experienced attorneys and mentor junior team members. You will support projects spanning technologies such as solar, energy storage, wind, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, and sustainable infrastructure.   • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of renewable energy agreements, including Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Operations and Maintenance (O&M), and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
  • Collaborate closely with clients, attorneys, and other professional stakeholders to advance project development objectives and resolve complex legal and commercial issues.
  • Provide legal analysis and practical advice throughout project development, helping clients navigate contractual and transactional considerations.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality legal documents, correspondence, and transaction materials.
  • Manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously, maintaining organization, quality, and responsiveness while working against demanding deadlines.
  • Apply strong negotiation and deal-management skills to help move transactions efficiently toward completion.
  • Work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative, distributed legal team.
  • Mentor and support junior attorneys, sharing knowledge and contributing to a team-focused professional environment.
