This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Retail Manager-Mobile based in the United States.

This role serves as a key field-based sales partner responsible for driving retail execution across an assigned geographic territory.
You will lead selling, merchandising, distribution, shelving, and promotional execution at store level.
The position combines customer relationship management with hands-on market execution and commercial growth.
You will collaborate closely with account leaders, sales teams, agency partners, and retail contacts to deliver shared business priorities.
Success requires strong communication, analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and the ability to operate independently.
The role provides an opportunity to influence revenue, distribution, share growth, and in-store performance across a major consumer packaged goods portfolio.
Due to customer connectivity requirements, the position must be based in Mobile, Alabama, or Pensacola, Florida.

Accountabilities

  • Build, strengthen, and leverage relationships with retail customers and key store-level contacts.

  • Execute selling, shelving, merchandising, and distribution strategies designed to achieve revenue, distribution, and market-share objectives.

  • Ensure customer agreements and promotional programs are implemented effectively and consistently at store level.

  • Identify and pursue incremental sales opportunities, promotional opportunities, new-item placements, void closures, resets, and other growth initiatives.

  • Monitor pricing and store-level execution, identifying opportunities and issues that may affect commercial performance.

  • Maintain strong communication with agency partners to align activities, priorities, and execution expectations.

  • Collaborate with account leads and sales leadership to identify and maximize growth opportunities across assigned customers.

  • Provide proactive store-level feedback, category insights, performance observations, and strategic opportunities to internal stakeholders.

  • Use available sales and statistical data to evaluate category performance, store results, distribution opportunities, and areas requiring action.

  • Demonstrate strong field execution, thought leadership, and a growth mindset while influencing partners and colleagues toward shared objectives.

  • Manage priorities and multiple activities effectively while working with significant autonomy and limited supervision.

  • Requirements

    • Previous experience in sales, merchandising, customer service, or a related commercial field is preferred; candidates with a demonstrated history of delivering strong business results are also encouraged to apply.

    • Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is preferred, particularly within the grocery channel.

    • Strong interest in sales, merchandising, retail execution, and customer relationship management.

    • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.

    • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

    • Ability to interact effectively with contacts at different organizational levels.

    • Strong analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to evaluate category performance, store results, and commercial opportunities.

    • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, multitask effectively, and adapt to changing business needs.

    • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and translate insights into action.

    • Valid driver's license and favorable driving record required; driving history will be reviewed as part of the recruitment process.

    • Ability to be physically present and working in retail stores as early as 7:30 AM Monday through Friday, depending on business needs.

    • Availability to work during periods leading up to critical business occasions, including national holidays and major sporting events.
