Heute ist die Auslastung der Maschinen durch die externen Aufträge unregelmäßig verteilt und gleichzeitig sehr störungsanfällig, besonders bei Laser Beam Melting. Das Forschungsprojekt IPPSLaBeM hat die Vision, die Auslastung von Laser Beam Melting Machines durch KIbasierte Produktionsplanung und -steuerung und Zusammenstellung von Bauaufträgen zu erhöhen.
