What does a Freelance Online Japanese Teacher do at Busuu?
As a Freelance Online Japanese Teacher at Busuu, you’ll play a key role in helping students learn Japanese effectively and confidently. On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will likely include:
Planning, preparing, and teaching online lessons (45 minutes each) for corporate clients.
1:1 Lessons: Deliver private lessons that include both language teaching and personalised coaching - conducting needs analyses, assessing levels, creating bespoke learning paths, checking progress during lesson time, and setting clear goals.
What we’re looking for in a Freelance Online Language Teacher:
C2 Level of Japanese
Valid teaching certificate such as TEFL/CELTA or related university degrees
Experience in online teaching and providing 1:1 coaching or personalised learning support
Fluency in additional languages:
B2 or above in English
Bonus: Speaking more than two languages
