Build and improve user-facing products across the frontend and full stack, shipping scalable features, refining user experience, and collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.
Frontend Engineer - 3D Web Service
📜 Description
- Build a browser-based 3D viewer that renders pipeline outputs as 3D Tiles on analysts’ available hardware.
- Integrate 3D results into the end-to-end workflow alongside the imagery and detections that produced them.
- Design interactions for navigation, inspection, and orientation between 3D views and underlying 2D data.
- Collaborate with tileset-producing teams to make outputs browser-ready and address rendering constraints upstream.
- Measure and optimize tile size, texture compression, request patterns, and load time.
- Ship one viewer across SaaS, single-tenant cloud, on-premise, and edge deployments.
🛠️ Requirements
- Strong practical experience with Vue.js and complex, stateful single-page applications.
- Practical understanding of WebGL or WebGPU, rendering loops, coordinates, cameras, picking, and GPU resources.
- Experience integrating WebAssembly or another native engine into a web application.
- Experience rendering browser-based 3D geospatial content with Cesium or an equivalent, and working with 3D Tiles or a comparable tiled 3D format.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, TypeScript, component and integration testing, CI/CD, and performance profiling.
- Experience consuming REST APIs and managing asynchronous state for long-running backend jobs.
- Strong UX judgment for technical products and ability to translate complex workflows into clear interfaces.
- Nice to have: familiarity with coordinate reference systems, raster and vector data, tiled data structures, or GeoJSON.
✨ Benefits
- Own the surface where 3D reaches the customer: every 3D result the pipeline produces ends in your viewer.
- Real constraints: analysts on ordinary hardware, on-premise and edge deployments, and a result that has to be usable the moment the job finishes.
- Diverse deployment challenges: ship a single application that runs in the cloud, on classified networks, or on a laptop in the field.
- Strong technical culture: work alongside 3D graphics engineers, ML engineers and GIS specialists solving novel problems.
- Learning opportunities
- Mental wellbeing programs
- Healthcare
