Bitwarden is the trusted identity security leader for millions of users worldwide, empowering enterprises, developers, and individuals to securely manage and share sensitive information anywhere. Bitwarden makes it easy for all users to extend robust security across their devices with password management, secrets management, and passwordless and passkey innovations. The company is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California with team members located across the globe. Learn more at bitwarden.com.
Machine identities now outnumber human ones in most enterprises, and the gap is widening as AI agents take on real work with real credentials. Bitwarden Secrets Manager is how developers and DevOps teams store, rotate, and deliver the machine credentials, API keys, and infrastructure secrets that keep their systems running. It sits at the center of a product line that spans developer secrets, privileged access, and the emerging category of agentic identity security.
This is an all-remote team and we're looking for someone located in the U.S. with no preference for time zone. We do not offer visa sponsorship at this time.
THE ROLE
Bitwarden is looking for a technical Senior Product Manager to own Secrets Manager end to end. You will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a developer and DevOps-facing product used by engineering teams to manage secrets across CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, infrastructure-as-code workflows, and production services.
The category is being redrawn right now. AI agents are becoming first-class consumers of credentials, calling APIs, provisioning infrastructure, and acting on production systems at machine speed and machine volume. The controls built for service accounts and static API keys were not designed for consumers that spin up on demand, chain tool calls, and make decisions without a human in the loop. Answering that (how do you give a non-human consumer the right credential, for the right window, with a clean audit trail, and revoke it the moment it should not have it) is one of the defining identity security problems of the next few years. Bitwarden is investing across the portfolio to solve it, and Secrets Manager is where it lands first for developers. You will own that surface.
You will work customer-backwards. That means talking to developers and platform engineers, understanding how secrets actually move through their systems and how their agentic workloads are already reaching for credentials today, then turning what you learn into a roadmap that wins deals and retains customers. You will partner closely with a dedicated Senior Product Owner who runs the backlog and sprint delivery, which frees you to spend your time on strategy, discovery, positioning, and cross-product coordination.
You will also work in an AI-native way yourself. Our teams use AI tooling across research, spec writing, competitive analysis, and prototyping, and we expect you to push on where it helps and where it does not. Secrets Manager is a growth vector for Bitwarden's broader identity security portfolio, so you will coordinate with our Private Access (PAM) and Agentic Innovation workstreams to keep the product line coherent as privileged access, machine identity, and agent access converge.
