🛠️ Requirements

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Bridge, Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered, or near Chartered/ Incorporated, with ICE or IStructE (or equivalent), with appropriate experience.
  • Strong technical capability across inspection, assessment and design; able to supervise graduates and technicians.
  • Proven project delivery to quality, time and budget, with effective risk and change control.
  • Experience in road and/or rail environments.
  • Experience in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Previous exposure with clients of both national and local authorities, together with major contractors.
  • Ability to manage Health & Safety responsibilities and ensure CDM compliance.
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., LUSAS, MIDAS, SOFiSTiK, or Structural Bridge Design).
  • Experience of structural Eurocodes, National Highways (DMRB & MCHW) or Network Rail standards. AASHTO beneficial.

Here's what you'll do

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Bridge Engineer to join our vibrant Basingstoke team, who take pride in working together to provide positive project outcomes for our Clients.

We work for leading UK&I and international clients and have a wide range of commissions of varying scale across all sectors. Some typical examples of current and recent past projects include: Network Rail CAFA Wessex, Thames Water pipe bridges, M40 DBFO, Devonport, Assessment and Inspection projects for nearby Local Authorities.

However, our work is far reaching, and we work across all of the major sectors offering wide ranging services to AECOM’s many clients including the following:

  • Energy

  • Defence

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will have the following daily responsibilities:

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:
