Senior Commercial Counsel

The Senior Commercial Counsel will act as a trusted advisor within the Legal team, leading complex commercial transactions with substantial autonomy and expertise.

Description

• Independently lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex client, vendor, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to Sales and business leaders, providing guidance on contractual and commercial risks.
• Develop and execute negotiation strategies for high-value transactions, clearly communicating legal and commercial risks.
• Partner with Privacy and experts to address data protection and regulatory requirements in commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve complex deal issues and support strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain the company's contracting framework, including templates and risk guidelines.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant legal experience, including substantial experience negotiating sophisticated commercial transactions.
• 12+ years of experience preferred.
• Significant experience independently leading complex negotiations involving technology and data.
• Exceptional contract drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify material risks.
• Strong business judgment to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
• Ability to manage a substantial workload and prioritize competing demands.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to advise and influence stakeholders.
